Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Linguamigo. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
Linguamigo is a language-learning app (lessons, quizzes, flashcards, and character writing). Features may change as we improve the product. Some content or levels may require Premium.
Accounts
You must provide accurate sign-in information and keep your password (if any) confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
You must not use the app if you are under 13.
We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service, violate these terms, or put other users or our infrastructure at risk.
Premium and ads
Premium is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase
(linguamigo_premium) sold through Google Play or the App
Store. Store billing terms (including refunds) are those of Apple or
Google, not a separate Linguamigo payment processor.
Premium currently includes access to kana levels that are marked premium-only, removal of banner ads, and extra practice without a rewarded ad. Kanji and vocabulary levels still unlock through normal study progress.
Free accounts may see ads. We are not responsible for third-party ad content.
Restoring purchases re-checks your store entitlement and grants Premium on the signed-in Linguamigo account. Deleting your Linguamigo account does not refund a purchase; you may restore Premium after creating a new account with the same store ID.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or bulk-download curriculum, audio, or stroke data beyond normal in-app use
- Interfere with other users or our servers
- Circumvent Premium, ads, or level unlocks
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual property
The Linguamigo name, app, and original materials belong to us. Curriculum includes third-party data used under their licenses (including KanjiVG-derived stroke data under CC BY-SA 3.0 and EDRDG dictionary data). See Settings → Sources & Acknowledgements and the open-source licenses screen.
Disclaimer
The app is provided “as is”. Language content may contain errors. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of defects, or that studying with Linguamigo will achieve any particular result.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost progress if you lose access to your account (unless caused by our failure to provide the deletion and backup practices described in the Privacy Policy).
Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account). We may stop offering the app or any part of it.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date will change when we do. If you continue to use the app after an update, you accept the new terms.
